Near Record Heat

Crank up the A/C...near record heat in store this afternoon with highs in the upper 80's to 90 degrees! A forecast high of 89 degrees in Ft. Myers would be one degree shy of the record set in 2002. A forecast high of 90 degrees in Naples would break the record of 89 degrees set in 1975 and make for record-breaking heat for the second day in a row in Naples. Mostly sunny, humid and breezy today with a southwesterly wind at 15 mph with higher gusts.
