Colin continues to race westward at almost 25 mph this morning; this is inhibiting any real intensification with the system at this time despite otherwise favorable conditions. The National Hurricane Center, as expected, has shifted the forecast cone a little farther to the southwest and this is a trend I expect to continue over the next few advisories as the picture later this week along the east coast (specifically the strength of an oncoming trough of low pressure aloft) becomes clearer. It's still nothing to be very worried about, though, as Colin still faces some of the hurdles I mentioned yesterday -- including enhanced wind shear near the islands of the northeast Caribbean in about a day and a half.
