Hot and humid!

Crank up the A/C...unseasonably high humidity levels and near record high temperatures will combine to create heat indices or 'feels like' temperatures in the low 90's this afternoon! A forecast high of 88 degrees in Ft. Myers would be 2 degrees shy of the record of 90 degrees set in 1945. Be sure to wear light-weight, light-colored clothing and drink plenty of fluids if spending extended periods of time outdoors today. A breezy southwesterly wind will pick up to 15-20 mph with higher gusts. Look for a mix of sun and clouds with the chance of a few showers/an isolated thunderstorm inland this afternoon into the evening.
