TORNADO WATCH

A Tornado Watch is in effect for all of the Southwest Florida until 1pm this afternoon. A line of strong to severe thunderstorms continues to push across parts of central Florida and will gradually sink to the south as we head into the afternoon hours ahead of a cold front. Keep your eye to the sky today, as some of the storms will pack a punch with the greatest threats being gusty winds in excess of 45 to 50 mph, heavy rain, and small hail. Conditions will improve by early Friday morning as dry air works its way down the state with a pleasant weekend in store.
