It's been quite some time since we've had any measurable rain here in Southwest Florida. Not only has it been dry, but temperatures have been hot in the mid 90s. Plenty of sunshine will continue into the mid day hours today with a slight chance of few isolated storms concentrated closer to the coast by late this afternoon. Cloud cover and humidity will be on the increase over the next couple of days as tropical moisture associated with a weak tropical disturbance to our south starts to drift northward. With this moisture in place and daytime heating, this will increase our rainfall chances by the end of the week and into the weekend. Keep that umbrella handy!
