It was another record breaking day across Collier County! Naples Municipal Airport recorded a temperature of 97° just after 3pm this afternoon. This shattered the old record of 93° set back in 1981. A ridge of high pressure, which has dominated our weather over the last several days will continue to do so as we head into Sunday. This means the mostly sunny, dry, hot and breezy conditions stick around. By next week, the moderate easterly breeze we've been used to over the last few days should begin to weaken, and with more moisture creeping back in, that will lead to a better chance of afternoon showers and storms. In the meantime, play it safe in the sun & heat - keep hydrated and slather on plenty of sunscreen if you're hitting the pool or local beaches!
