Summer begins today at 1:16pm, but it seems like it arrived earlier across Southwest Florida as we have seen temperaturs running consistently in the mid 90s for the last month. In fact, our last 80 degree day was recorded on May 23rd, with a high of 88 degrees at Page Field. A sunny sky this morning will turn partly cloudy this afternoon with isolated showers/thunderstorms developing on the breeze. Not expecting a whole lot in terms of coverage this afternoon, but the storms that due develop could become strong, packing winds near 50 mph and smail hail. Tropical moisture will will be the move late in the week, which means a wetter pattern through the weekend with temperatures near normal.
