Earlier today, the National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administation (NOAA) released its 2011 hurricane outlook for the Atlantic Basin. Hurricane season officially begins June 1st, and it is predicted to be an above normal season.
NOAA is predicting the following the ranges this year:
Named Tropical Storms: 12 - 18
Hurricanes: 6 -1 0
Major Hurricanes: 3 - 6
