Less Smoke This Morning

Much less smoke across the area this morning, with much improved visibilities in Naples at 8 miles, but still reporting some haze. A shift in the surface wind flow, as a result of a cold front, to the northeast is giving us a break from the smoke being generated by the massive brush fire that continues to burn in the Big Cypress National Preserve in south-eastern Collier county. The wind will shift back to a more east-southeasterly direction overnight which may bring a return of the smoke and haze and thus reduced visibilities and that smokey smell to Coastal Collier and even Lee county by tomorrow morning.

Take it easy!
