Brian: Cool start, warm finish today... rain forecast on track for tomorrow night!

We're starting this morning with temps in the 40's and 50's across southwest Florida. There will be some patchy fog/haze in a few spots to start the morning, but it will not hang around nearly as long as yesterday. Plan on a partly cloudy sky today with highs in the upper 70's for most of us. Tomorrow, clouds will increase late in the day in advance of our next cold front... it will be warm and breezy with highs pushing to around 80 degrees! I can't rule out a stray shower moving quickly from west to east tomorrow afternoon, but the main line of showers and storms waits until well after dark to arrive. There will be some heavy rain in a few spots as the front comes through Friday night/early Saturday.. right now, it looks like most of the area should see around a half inch of rain.

The front's through and the rain is gone by about daybreak Saturday, but we won't clear out fully behind the front! The wind will stay westerly Saturday afternoon, eventually turning northwest and north.. as long as it stays west and northwest, though, there should be some low clouds hanging around as cool air moves over the Gulf. Plan on clouds gradually decreasing Saturday. Sunday just some high clouds around and much cooler, with highs in the mid 60's! Super Bowl XLIV in Miami looks pretty good.. mostly clear sky with temps in the 60's at kickoff falling into the 50's by the 4th quarter.
