Some scattered showers are on the radar this morning south of the Caloosahatchee as tropical moisture works northward well in advance of Hurricane Paula. Paula is a little close for comfort, and we'll watch it closely the next 24 hours, but we still do not expect it to directly affect south Florida. Fortunately, the front moving into the southeast and its associated upper level trough are not very sharp and will not alter the steering flow enough to bring Paula on a more northeastward track over the next couple of days. New advisory will be in from NHC just before 5, we'll have it for you coming up on WINK!
