Brian: Cold front about to move into DeSoto/Sarasota Counties...

Our cold front (or more accurately, dewpoint front) is closing in on the northernmost reaches of southwest Florida at this hour. Out ahead of the front, we have a few clouds overhead but otherwise it's dry with the only shower activity out over either the Gulf or the Atlantic. This front should come through mainly dry through most of the area with the best chance of rain across Collier County a little later this afternoon.

The real difference will be in the humidity later today as the front comes south. Right now, dewpoints are still in the low 70's for us but across central Florida they've slipped to near 50 degrees! That drier air will move in by early this evening and sets the stage for beautiful weather for the Halloween weekend. Enjoy!
