Near record temperatures today, Ft. Myers hit 90. The record was 91 today. Tomorrow we are going for a high of 90 which will tie the old record set back in 2002. This warm and humid weather will be with us until the cold front comes through Friday afternoon. A chance of a shower will stay with us also.
This cold front is in association with a big windy storm system to the north. Wind gusts in the low 60s have been reported earlier Tuesday. Behind the low in the dakotas, blizzard warnings are in effect. Temperatures dropped 20 degrees in 3 hours as the system moves into the great lakes. The cold front has been producing numerous tornadoes from Miss. to Ohio. This system will move into Canada Wednesday afternoon and conditions will be much better in the midwest then. Cold front will not bring severe wather to us in SWFL. Just a few showers Friday and cooler and drier weather for the weekend.
