A Near-Record Cool Start to Our Thursday!

The mercury dropped to 63 degrees this morning at Page Field in Ft. Myers which is the coolest air we have felt in 5 & 1/2 months...not since April 29th! (when a low temperature of 61 degrees was recorded) The low of 63 degrees this morning was also one degree shy of tying the record low of 62 degrees set in 1987. And with a dry air mass in place and clear sky conditions in store for the overnight...grab the jacket or an extra-blanket, as low temperatures tonight will once again drop to near-record levels. Expect lows by early tomorrow morning to cool to upper 50's in areas inland, with low to mid 60's along the coast...a forecast low of 63 degrees in Ft. Myers would be 2 degrees shy of the record of 61 degrees set in 1920.

Have a great day,

Lauren
