Arctic air blasting into SWFL...even colder than last week's temps...

Another arctic air mass is plowing into SWFL and we'll feel the effects tonight as the coldest of the cold air this season will arrive. Overnight lows will dip below freezing in Ft. Myers with widespread 20's east of I-75! A Freeze Warning is in effect tonight until 9am tomorrow morning. A Hard Freeze Warning is in effect for DeSoto and Highlands counties. A Wind Chill Warning is in effect for much of the area tonight until 10am tomorrow morning. The extremely cold temperatures tonight will threaten sensitive outdoor vegetation...be sure to move potted plants indoors and the vegetation that you cannot move, cover with cloth. And also be sure to BUNDLE UP! Wind chills late tonight into early tomorrow possible in the low 20's and even teens inland!

More on the brutally frigid weather coming up on WINK News Now @ 11am on 6TV.

Stay warm!!
