Kicked out the cold

After enduring three arctic blasts this month...we have kicked out the cold with a much more mild start to the day. Lows are running on average 15 degrees warmer than those of yesterday morning! We have more warmth, but also more cloud cover due to an upper-level disturbance that will pass through the Southeast. More sunshine will be revealed for the second half of the afternoon as the disturbance moves east. Despite the increased cloud cover, high temperatures will reach to their warmest of the week with mid 70's this afternoon.

As a result of this December's frigid spells...morning lows fell into the 30's, 8 times in Ft. Myers! But we'll end the month on a warm note with highs near 80 degrees tomorrow.
