Record-breaking, freezing cold this morning!

With lighter winds overnight, temperatures this morning were even colder...with a record-smashing 28 degrees in Punta Gorda this morning...the old record: 35 degrees! And the coldest point in SWFL...an unbelievable 22 degrees in Palmdale! Brrrrr!

Palmdale: 22 degrees

Lake Placid: 25 degrees

La Belle: 26 degrees

Alva: 27 degrees

Golden Gate: 27 degrees

Immokalee: 28 degrees

Punta Gorda: 28 degrees

Lehigh Acres: 29 degrees

Ft. Myers: 33 (ties record set in 1944)

Cape Coral: 34 degrees

Naples: 36 degrees


Feeling better this afternoon...still below-average, but warmer than yesterday afternoon, with highs today in the upper 50's to low 60's under abundant sunshine. Lighter afternoon winds will help us feel warmer as well.
