Wind Speeds Increasing

Breezy conditions have taken over in Charlotte and Lee counties in the wake of a cold front. A north wind at 20 mph is being reported in Ft. Myers, 18 mph at SWFL International Airport and 16 mph in Punta Gorda with higher gusts. Naples still reporting a light southwesterly wind but the wind will shift out of the north and speeds will increase dramatically once the front passes through Collier over the next hour. Breezy conditions will persist across SWFL through the day.
