Cold air has arrived! 20s in many location inland, 30s to the coast! Freeze warnings in effect. Two nights like this!

Well the very cold air mass has arrived! Hard freeze warnings in effect for all inland areas (East of Interstate 75). Freeze warning to the coast, expection coastal Collier County. With that in mind, you will need to protect you plants and animals. Also have a wind chill warning for all of SWFL until 9am Tuesday morning.

The good news tonight is that the wind will stay up. That means no frost is in the forecast as the wind keeps the air moving. However, Wednesday morning the wind becomes calm, so frost will occur across much of SWFL. It may feel colder Tuesday morning, but Wednesday morning may cause the most damage to plants.

This extra cold weather will be here through Wednesday morning. Warmer weather will start Thursday afternoon as we make our way into the low 70s.
