Brian: Mostly sunny with highs in the lower and middle 90's again today..

Good morning! With the turning of the calendar page to May we seemingly also turned toward the summer months as records fell this weekend and temps climbed into the low to mid 90's. High pressure remains in control today and will lead to another mostly sunny, hot and humid day. There should be a slightly earlier arriving Gulf breeze today (and a less windy day overall).. this will likely keep temps right along the beaches in the high 80's. Here are today's forecast numbers:

Naples  Mostly Sunny  Hot & Humid; High 90
Bonita Springs Mostly Sunny  Hot & Humid; High 93
Fort Myers Mostly Sunny  Hot & Humid; High 92
Cape Coral Mostly Sunny  Hot & Humid; High 92
Port Charlotte Mostly Sunny  Hot & Humid; High 90
Hendry Co. Mostly Sunny  Hot & Humid; High 92
Glades Co. Mostly Sunny  Hot & Humid; High 91
DeSoto Co. Mostly Sunny  Hot & Humid; High 91
There's a very wet cold front to our northwest right now bringing flooding rain to much of the southeast up into the Carolinas and eventually the Mid Atlantic later today. There is also the potential for some gusty storms (but likely not severe) over this part of the country. For us.. as the front moves toward north and central Florida late tomorrow it weakens as it runs into our strong bubble of high pressure. Expect a few more clouds tomorrow and slightly cooler temperatures -- but no rain. By Wednesday, we will have the opportunity for a few isolated storms as some of the moisture with the front -- but not the cooler air -- moves into the region.

Have a great Monday!

Brian
