Brian: Partly to mostly cloudy, mid 70's now..

These low clouds (and in a few spots, where the wind is light enough, hazy areas/foggy areas) will burn off over the next hour or two and we should see a mostly sunny sky by mid morning. Hazy, hot and humid with highs pushing toward the low to mid 90's this afternoon. Wind direction today remains from the southeast (as it was over the weekend), so a return to last week's oily odor in the air in SWFL is not of any concern. In fact, wind should remain predominantly out of a southerly and easterly direction for the next several days... which, despite the pattern of the currents in the Gulf (full explanation coming soon on 6 TV), should work to keep any direct impacts from the north-central Gulf oil slick away from our area.
