Overnight, a stray light shower remains possible otherwise mostly cloudy with areas of patchy fog will prevail.

Low temperatures cooler for DeSoto and Charlotte counties tonight, in the mid 50's, as a shallow layer of cool air is able to slide south behind a cold front currently moving through the state. Expect more mild air to remain in place over Collier, where overnight lows will dip only into the low to mid 60s. With lows for Lee in the upper 50's to near 60 degrees. A light breeze stays with us at 10 mph.

Tomorrow morning, low clouds will dominate our sky due to a temperature inversion. By midday expect some sunshine across Lee...Charlotte and Desoto will see the most sunshine through the afternoon but mainly cloudy conditions will likely remain in place over Collier due to energy from the frontal boundary which will stall south of the peninsula. A few showers possible for tomorrow afternoon with the best chance in Collier where the most surface moisture will reside.

Isolated rain re-enters the forecast for all of SWFL Sunday night as the cold front returns and moves north as a warm front. Scattered rain on tap for Monday.
