Sleet Mixing In..

The air is getting cold enough for ice pellets/sleet to be mixing in for a few spots this morning. The air is approaching 32 degrees about 2500 feet above the ground and is getting cooler as heavier precip falls over areas that are not quite yet saturated (when precip evaporates, it cools the air to saturation -- humidity of 100%). As of 1130 AM, "unidentified precipitation," likely sleet, was being reported at Okeechobee. Watch the radar closely over the next hour or two. Anytime you see a pocket of yellow moving over an area from Lee/Hendry Counties northward... there is a chance that a few sleet pellets could be mixed in! Stay warm!
