The line of showers and storms this morning is pushing much more to the east than to the south.. this means a couple of things. First, the heavy band of rain that stretches across the Gulf, Charlotte Harbor and to between Lake Placid and Clewiston will only inch south. This also means that it's likely the southern half of the area, places like Bonita and Naples, will avoid the heaviest of the rain as much of the upper level support for this morning's storms shifts to the north. This also means that places in Charlotte, DeSoto, Highlands and Glades Counties will see heavy rain continuing for at least the next 2 hours...
