Widely scattered showers moved across SWFL for our Saturday. Most rainfall totals did not exceed .10" but a few locales, including Bokeelia and San Carlos Park, picked up nearly .75" through the day...and Sunday only promises more rain with greater accumulations.
Expect scattered rain to start our Sunday morning, attributed to a developing area of low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico. Rain is likely through tomorrow afternoon as the low sets up south of the peninsula. Thunderstorms are possible with the main threat being heavy rainfall especially over Collier. Scattered rain will continue into tomorrow night with rainfall totals of .50" to 1.00" likely through Sunday with 2.00"+ possible locally.
Scattered rain remains in the forecast for Monday as well as the impacts from the low pressure area will still be felt.
Try to Stay Dry!
