Wow! Outside our studio on Palm Beach Blvd. in Fort Myers, the rain is coming down in buckets with frequent lightning (in excess of 10,000 lightning strikes across SWFL in the last hour). Heavy rain and lightning will be the biggest threat with this line of showers and storms over the next hour or so.. thus far, still no reports of any severe weather though a tornado watch does remain in effect until 7 AM. Heaviest of the rain now falling over much of Cape Coral... about to cross the Caloosahatchee and move into South Fort Myers. Still dry through the rest of Lee and Collier.
