Brian: A few light showers headed northward this morning...

Not as many pockets of heavy rain now as we approach 5:30; most of the rain is very much on the light side as it moves northward with a warm front that is draped just north of SWFL this morning. Expect isolated to scattered rain showers again this afternoon (especially north) with highs averaging in the mid 80's on Election Day. Today's forecast:

Naples  Clouds & Sun  Isolated Rain; High 87
Bonita Springs Clouds & Sun  Isolated Rain; High 86
Fort Myers Clouds & Sun  Isolated Rain; High 86
Cape Coral Clouds & Sun  Isolated Rain; High 86
Port Charlotte Clouds & Sun  Isolated Rain; High 85
Hendry Co. Clouds & Sun  Isolated Rain; High 87
Glades Co. Clouds & Sun  Isolated Rain; High 86
DeSoto Co. Clouds & Sun  Isolated Rain; High 85

We're more or less looking at the same weather story for tomorrow but changes arrive on Thursday as the strongest cold front of the season moves toward the area. Right now, I don't think the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms is especially high but it is possible, with such a powerful system nearby, that we could have some stronger wind in any of the storms that develop Thursday afternoon. A lot will depend on how much sun we see Thursday morning before the front gets here. Either way, the coolest air since March is headed our way for the weekend!
