Good morning! It's actually cooler this morning to start in many places (especially inland) compared to yesterday. How can this be while the low and mid level temperatures in the atmosphere are warming up? Simple. High pressure is nearby this morning and the breeze is essentially calm (remember the last few nights it's been windy; that helps keep the temperatures up. As a result, we have temps in the 40's and low 50's all the way back to near the coast this morning.
A warmer finish, though, is in store today with lots of sunshine. Expect highs to get close to 80 degrees this afternoon.
