Southwest flow and southwest wind shear this morning is allowing a persistent band of showers and storms to affect the northern part of the Cape Haze peninsula northeast into DeSoto County this morning. Doppler radar is estimating that, just in the last hour, 1-3" of rain has fallen on a line from near Rotonda to west of Arcadia! Expect this band of heavy rain to remain over the area for at least the next hour or two.
