Brian: Rain just starting to move onshore in Collier, raining in Marco Island...

After missing out on the rain for much of the morning, the first showers of the day are moving across south Collier County -- affecting Marco Island as I write this. Another batch of moderate rain is falling now along and east of US-41 through Lee County and east of I-75 in Charlotte County. Heavy rain is also falling in DeSoto and Highlands Counties; this rain will move away from these areas over the next hour or so.

Today's forecast:

Naples  Mostly Cloudy  Rain & Storms Likely; High 83
Bonita Springs Mostly Cloudy  Rain & Storms Likely; High 82
Fort Myers Mostly Cloudy  Rain & Storms Likely; High 81
Cape Coral Mostly Cloudy  Rain & Storms Likely; High 81
Port Charlotte Mostly Cloudy  Rain & Storms Likely; High 80
Hendry Co. Mostly Cloudy  Rain & Storms Likely; High 82
Glades Co. Mostly Cloudy  Rain & Storms Likely; High 81
DeSoto Co. Mostly Cloudy  Rain & Storms Likely; High 79

It won't rain all day in any town in southwest Florida, but the chance of rain and storms will be there throughout the day. In fact, as the upper level wind strengthens in advance of the cold front later today/tonight, it is possible we could see some stronger wind gusts in any storms that do develop.

Windy and much cooler for tomorrow with clouds rapidly clearing out during the morning. Highs tomorrow will be in the low 70's with temperatures staying in the 60's through the weekend! In fact, we could set a record low high temperature (or tie it) on Saturday and set/tie a record low temperature on Sunday morning (47 is the forecast low).
