Good morning! Hope everyone got a chance to enjoy some spectacular early March weather this weekend; sure it was a bit on the cooler than average side, but compared to what we've seen all winter long -- not bad! We follow the weekend up with another good one today.. a mostly sunny sky with highs near 70 at the beaches and in the mid 70's inland. For tomorrow, the afternoon Gulf breeze coupled with a weak upper level disturbance could get together to give us just a slight chance of a couple of showers during the afternoon. Otherwise, plan on more clouds at mid week and warmer temperatures.. with highs in the mid 70's tomorrow and near 80 on Wednesday.
I'm watching what I'm calling a "lazy" cold front for later this week, one that will meander across Florida and move through in pieces between Thursday and Saturday morning. The timing of each piece of upper level energy along this front will be tricky.. but at this point, it looks like we'll get a shot of a few showers on Thursday afternoon, potentially some heavier rain on Friday afternoon.. and then some isolated showers early Saturday as the front actually clears us. By Sunday, the weather will be more settled and a bit cooler.. with highs in the mid 70's. This does not look to be an "extra cold" cold front!
