Friday is off to a chilly start with temperatures in the mid to upper 40's inland and in the low to mid 50's along the coast. We're finished, though, with the upper level disturbances we've seen roll through here the past few days and we're setting the stage for a beautiful weekend across the area (and warm too!). High pressure noses in from the west this afternoon, giving us a sunny sky and highs between 70 and 75. With high pressure nearby tomorrow morning, it will be chilly again to start tomorrow with lows close to 50. By the afternoon, that high slides to the east, putting us on the western side of the high -- the warmer side! Underneath a mostly sunny sky, we'll warm into the upper 70's to near 80 Saturday.
For Sunday, our next front moves into the eastern Gulf, giving us a warm and breezy day.. and more humid as well. Our latest models are now holding off the best rain chances until after midnight Sunday/early Monday; so I'll leave the forecast basically dry on Sunday with highs in the low 80's. Clouds will increase, though, during the afternoon.
Rain and clouds should hold on through the first half of the day Monday with a clearing trend for the afternoon. The pattern aloft has changed significantly though over the past few days.. the front coming through is not a strong one! We'll be in the mid 70's on Monday, but head back into the 80's by Wednesday and Thursday.
Welcome spring!
