Quick update for this morning... it's another chilly start with temperatures again below 50 degrees throughout southwest Florida. What else is new this winter? We have 30's inland and 40's along the coast. This afternoon, just a few high clouds expected overtop of a couple of lower clouds; we'll call it mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60's and low 70's. I'm watching a strong low over Texas this morning that will rapidly shoot across the Gulf today and tonight.. bringing us a good chance of rain near daybreak tomorrow. There could even be a few thunderstorms but, at this point, it doesn't look like enough low level moisture will return fast enough to allow for a real severe weather threat. That said, there could be a couple of gusty storms with strong wind just above the ground. This could be the last "extra cold" cold front of the season though.. more on that on WINK this morning.
