Lauren: Hot & Humid Again for Sunday

A persistent southwesterly flow has kept conditions hot and humid over the last few days and much of the same is in store for tomorrow. Morning lows will run 5+ degrees above the average dropping to only 80 degrees near the coast to mid 70's inland. Temperatures will cruise to near 90 degrees at the beaches to mid 90's inland for our Sunday afternoon. Scattered storms will develop once again through the PM hours. Much of the storm activity will be concentrated inland but rather light steering winds may allow a few storms develop nearer to the coast. Heat index values, or feels like temperatures, will climb into the 105-110 range, so be sure to spend some time indoors in the A/C during the heat of the day and drink plenty of water!

A break from this oppressive humidity may be in store by midweek and I'll have the details coming up at WINK News at 11pm!

Stay cool,
Lauren
